On the narrow line between naturalistic and abstract painting there is a hidden treasure, well worth to discover. We have to accept that neither (photo-) realistic nor informal approach to work can achieve an altogether completely satisfying way of painting.

However, to experiment between those two poles, to fathom and search for possible symbioses, allows both a conceptual as well as a poetical result in both directions. Here the traditional world meets the absurd and leaves many an observer confused, which is partly intended, on the other hand coincidental.

Sculptures and installations are my helpful assistants during my quest towards the production of convincing artwork.
